So when our trusted framer Rich announced his retirement, we were happy for him—but left wondering how we could ever replace him. That’s when the lightbulb went off. Instead of searching, we decided to take it on ourselves. From that moment, The Frame Shop by Olive & Melon was born.

Meet Mel and Olivia

With nearly 20 years in interior design, Mel brings an expert eye and a love of discovery to every project. She’ll frame just about anything she finds, from personal treasures to thrifted gems. Her own walls are filled with art, objects from her life, and curated finds that celebrate a life well-lived and beautifully framed.

Olivia studied industrial design at Pratt and designs and makes furniture, never expecting to become a framer. But it just fits—she loves working with her hands, collecting objects, and turning inspiration from travel and everyday life into something beautiful. Olivia designs and handcrafts the exclusive Olive & Melon frames, bringing her design expertise, attention to detail, and love of making to every piece.
