Hi there, It’s Olivia and Mel.

We are interior designers by day and now framers too! We both come from design backgrounds. Mel has been running a successful interior design business for the past 16 years. Olivia joined the team in 2022 with a background in industrial design and woodworking.

The Frame Shop by Olive & Melon was a dream we didn’t know we had!

Together we make unique spaces one detail at a time. Framing has always been an important part of our interior design work, a detail that is often neglected in some interior design practices. Nothing elevates a photo, a piece of art, a postcard, etc. quite like framing.  Not to mention a room is never complete without art on the walls. How do you get art on the wall you ask? Frame it!

When our framer Rich told us he was retiring and selling his business, we were not happy! Yes, we were happy for Rich, of course, but now we had to find a new framer. And not just any framer, a framer we liked! But then… a light bulb flickered. Next thing you know The Frame Shop by Olive & Melon was born and the rest is history.

Custom Framing

Conservation framing, needlework, textiles, object mounting, pastels, photographs, sports jerseys, posters, prints, kids art, important documents, and anything else you can think to frame.

 

Vintage Frames

In addition to the hundreds of mouldings we offer we also collect vintage frames to use in our framing practice. We love the unique details of vintage frames and giving them a new life! Ask us about it!

 

Gallery Walls

We offer a full design service to create gallery walls unique to each customer.

How it works:

  1. Design Consultation: Meet in the space to define the scope of the project

  2. Design Proposal: Layout of the wall 

  3. Selections: Frame, mat, and everything in between is selected for each piece 

  4.  Framing: We frame all the pieces in-house 

  5. Installation: We hang all framed pieces according to the layout 

  6. Gallery Wall Complete!
